Star anise is a spice derived from the fruit of the Illicium verum tree, native to northeast Vietnam and southern China. Its scent is strong and akin to licorice but with sweetness & more complexity (in our humble opinion). It has natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and may help to ease acne, soothe irritation and even out skin tone. Interestingly, it contains the compound shikimic acid, which is used in the production of the antiviral drug oseltamivir (Tamiflu).

Its warming notes are a comfort to the senses and a smile for the skin.

Ingredients: Organic Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Virgin Coconut Butter, Organic Shea butter, Organic Mango Butter, Organic & Hexane free Castor Oil. Essential Oils of Star Anise at 1.5%. 

Not suitable for use as a shampoo. Allow bar to dry between uses.
